The Nob Hill area was given a facelift in the 1980's by the "Yuppies" at the height of
that decadent decade. When they finished, they entreated the city to declare the area a
historical district, which put limitations on any new construction and permanently froze
the zonings. Many of the buildings date from the 1920's and were rebuilt with a real attention
to detail, but in the years since some have fallen in to disrepair again. Enter the new
Corporate youth, who are once again rebuilding the neighborhood.

Most of the buildings in the Northeast quarter of the map are "Garden Apartments", two or
three-story apartment buildings where the building is three sides of a square with the street
being the fourth. This creates an open courtyard in the center, often with a fountain and
shrubberies. Most of those started out as one and two bedroom apartments, but many have been
	enlarged over the years.

NW 23rd, 24th , and 25th Streets are largely devoted to small businesses, mostly retail shops
	and small restaurants.
On the west side of the map, the terrain tends towards vertical as you enter the foothills
of the mountains. The streets ride the ridgelines, and the house are built hanging over the
edge. The typical house has the first floor at street level, then at least one more floor
below that. These houses were built by the more well-to-do, and are more expensively made.
Some houses are quite elaborate, like the "Black Castle", which was built in the style of a
Midieval castle, complete with tower and working drawbridge.
