Welcome to Corpzone.
This entire area was a succession of wealthy neighborhoods at the end of the last century,
and when the larger corporations started moving to town, this is where they started buying
up property for their new executive homes. In some places, whole city blocks were bought up
in a single transaction and leveled to build from scratch.
As it stands now, each neighborhood will have it's sponsoring corp, allowing corp workers to
live in the same neighborhood and take the same company-financed busing to work if they so
desire. Each neighborhood will typically have a small market and service station or small
restaurant, depending on the wealth level of the neighborhood.
In Portland Heights, your importance to the Company is almost proportional to the elevation
of your house, with the mid-level managers and sararimen living at the lowest elevation, and
the VP's at the top of the hill, lording it over their underlings.
On a happier note, the Portland Zoological Gardens are a good place to forget the city for
a while.
