Mobile Point Defense System II - 40,000eb
So the punks are responding to your original APEX by piling on some armor jackets and MetalGear (tm) and going right through? You want to protect youself, your property, and your clients with something more than those dinky 9mm caseless long bullets? We've got the answer. We've taken the overwhelmingly popular APEX and made it even better! The new APEX II uses assault-rifle rounds to start with, holding 500 7.62mm rounds. Its housing is armored to an SP of 15 and has SDP 30. This version weighs a bit more than the original at 120kg, requiring a pickup truck to transport (Well, an enterprising punk may be able to stuff it in the trunk of a large car with the trunk lid open...) It's also more accurate than the original. Its effective range is 300 meters.

Game notes: The APEX II has a ROF of 30 and is VR for reliability checks. The unit is powered by building power with battery backup that lasts 24 hours. If that runs out before power is restored, the unit must be reprogrammed. For game purposes, the APEX II fires as a character with combined REF and weapon skill totalling 12. If a fumble is rolled, make a reliability check. On a failed check, the unit jams, automatically shutting down and alerting the operator. For Initiative rolls, the APEX II acts as a character with a REF of 8. The APEX II may be outfitted with a CookieCutter system (see Solo of Fortune, p. 22).

Monnikkan Arms AP-1 "Enforcer" Sabot Pistol

Firing a 9mm caseless, fin-stabilized, sabot flechette, the Enforcer is the perfect low recoil, high penetration weapon for use both dirtside and in space. Its sealed action includes a low maintenance, built in helical magazine, giving the weapon its distictive "horseshoe" shape. Though almost impossible to reload quickly during combat, the 36 rounds of ammunition carried by the Enforcer make it a favorite among Space Marines.

Note: As with most sabot flechette weapons, penetration is x1/4 SP, and damage is x1/2. Useable with modified Kendachi (exploding) Fragmentation Flechette ammo (Chromebook 2, p. 46) [these rounds will treat all armor as x1/4 SP, but damage will be full, and cost is x10.]

Basically small, spring-loaded, folding throwing knives. These razor sharp spikes are small enough to conceal in the palm of your hand when folded, but spring open when drawn. Sold in sets of four. Note: As with most edged weapons, penetration is x1/2 SP, and damage is not halved.

Monnikkan Arms Sonic Limpet Mine by Colin K. Smith

This dinner-plate sized device, with a self-adhesive back, is designed with a high frequency sonic discharge device that will shatter almost all glass, plastic, or crystal that it is attached to, armored or not. It comes with a built in timer, but can also be linked to a radio receiver for command detonation. The sonic discharge cannot be heard more than 20 feet away, making it an effective device for covert intrusion. The Sonic Limpet Mine does 4D10 damage in a 2 meter radius to glass, plastic, or crystal (and like substances) surfaces that it is attached to, but will not damage other substances.

Eran Malour has outdone himself yet again. The new Deluxe Flachette pistol is JUST what the Solo ordered. The regular flechette pistol just didn't do enough to stop armed thugs, but now you can drop those scum " rapid fire style"

Kendachi Zapper

Don't be fooled by the name. The item in question is actually a throwing knife. Created (oddly enough) by the Inquisitors for the specific purpose of silent takedown. It actually discharges a non- lethal shock when exposed to liquid. ( i.e. blood). A victim that is hit by the weapon sustains a shock from the blade. More offen than not this will result in the victim's unconsciousness.
