The Hawthorne District is home to many of the Rose City's free thinkers and wild children. Thrift stores, art galleries and unique restaraunts and other shops line both sides of Hawthorne Boulevard, and the neighborhood is a favorite tromping ground for retro-beatniks and hippes.
