Repair install of Server 2008<\/strong><\/p>\n

Remember the ‘repair install’ option from Server 2003? Well, they renamed it (along with everything else) in Server 2008. Here’s the new method:<\/p>\n

Boot from OS install disk<\/p>\n

Select next after making sure the language options are correct.
\nSelect Repair option
\nSelect CMD
\nCD into recovery
\nType Dir
\nRun the StartRep.exe command in the list.<\/p>\n

That should do a basic repair to the OS. It will search out, discover and repair many things – like a corrupted\/missing partition table. You may need to run it twice.<\/strong> Not sure why, but it took two tries to fix my corrupted partition table.<\/p>\n
